HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well, Easter is not the same without family or the warm (usually) morning spring air of the northeast United States but we just had to make do. This weekend has been a chilly one - several minutes of snow or rain followed by minutes or hours of sun, passing overcast, etc. Typical Severn Vale type weather.

Elizabeth was quite busy making dozens of Moravian stars for the church this week. In addition to stars we also sang in a quartet at church this morning - several of the more mature and hearing impaired members of the congregation said I sounded great ;)

The kids opened their Easter gifts this morning - clothing from Key West, chocolate bunnies from the Kreckes and some other treats from the 'Easter Bunny'. Later on we hope to talk to the grandparents - all four - and Cora has promised to entertain us with Easter games.

This was the my best day ever!

That was Cora's reaction yesterday after her performances and cross country race at school. She really had a great day and we are quite proud of her!

Cora started the day running in a cross country race at St. Eds which included all of the girls in Year 3. Cora came in 2nd place out of the 40 or so girls running, saying later that, "It was really hard because at the end my throat really started to hurt!"

Later Cora performed two pieces at the after school year 3 and 4 concert - 'Au Clair de la Lune' on the piano and 'Cool for Crochets' on the drums. Not only did cora perform both pieces expertly, especially her piano piece which was the best I have ever heard it, but she was the only student to perform twice. Oh, she was also the only drum performer!

Safe to say she was quite happy and very proud at the end of the day - and we are proud of her too!
